Annual Coin Sets are the staple of coin collecting. The U.S. Mint offers uncirculated, proof, and silver proof coin sets every year. Enjoy these sets that commemorate the history of our Nation along with the heritage of coinage.

2002 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set

2002 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set The 2002 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set is now available - the fourth set in the ten-year series celebrating each of the 50 states. This year ten new 2002 coins in uncirculated condition will be minted at both the Denver and Philadelphia Mint facilities - the Golden Dollar featuring Sacagawea, the Kennedy half dollar, Roosevelt dime, Jefferson nickel, Lincoln cent and five new quarters in the 50 State Quarters Program. The set consists of two envelopes - one containing ten coins from the Denver Mint facility bearing the "D" mint mark and the other containing ten coins from the Philadelphia Mint facility bearing the "P " mint mark - twenty coins in all.

This year five new quarters will be released through the 50 State Quarters Program never to be produced again. These 2002 quarters will honor Tennessee - "Musical Heritage," Ohio - "Birthplace of Aviation Pioneers," Louisiana - "Louisiana Purchase," Indiana - "Crossroads of America," and finally Mississippi - "The Magnolia State." When you purchase your 2002 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set, you will receive all of the 2002 issues - before all five entered general circulation.

Our nation's coinage bears exquisite portraits of our beloved national figures created by premiere artists. These likenesses, from Victor Brenner's classic portrait of Lincoln to Glenna Goodacre's depiction of Sacagawea and her infant son Jean-Baptiste, are available in sharp, intricately detailed renditions not found in regular circulating coins.

Uncirculated coins are minted on special presses and struck with greater force than circulating coins. The coins are then packaged and protectively sealed in clear Mylar, and carefully handled to ensure that these pristine examples of our nation's coinage will stay in their original mint condition.

Now you can have all twenty coins - a complete ten-coin set from each mint - in specially minted uncirculated condition.

At only $14.95, the 2002 United States Mint Uncirculated Coin Set is a memorable gift to mark a special date, or a perfect introduction to coin collecting. Order as many as you like, but order soon - while supplies last.
